On 27th and 28th June 2018, our Dementia-friendly garden display was showcased at the Norfolk Show. We are extremely pleased to announce that we won a Gold medal for our efforts and design. Thank you to all students involved and Mr Macdonald for leading the initiative. We managed to capture visitors comments, which are showcased below with photos from the event.
A truly wonderful garden. You can see the attention to detail and the labour of love that has gone into this garden. It is a great sensory experience to sit and all the smells bring back precious memories.
Such a beautiful well though through garden also raising awareness for dementia. Clearly a great amount of love has gone into this and the students have learnt loads! We are so thankful to the school, students and Calum for such enthusiasm and a superb display.
What a great display and a fine example of the type of garden that dementia sufferers can be involved with. C. W. Foulger, Chairman of the Wymondham Dementia Support Group. NCC Dementia Champion.
This was an amazing idea and the work gone into the garden is brilliant. It’s really good to hear such young people taking an interest in this horrendous disease. Well-deserved of the gold medal, well done to you all.
