Year 11 Art and Design students recently visited the Sainsbury Centre for the Visual Arts at the University of East Anglia. Shannon tells us a bit more about the visit:
‘On our trip to the Sainsbury Centre we looked at all the different African art that they have. We created a range of studies and collected photos to use in our African art project. We created four studies whilst we were there to put into our sketch books, some of paintings and some of sculptures. We had to choose African artists or African inspired artists to link with our projects. They had a number of interesting artworks there in a range of different mediums and styles. It was a successful trip and we are all hoping that our work from the trip will contribute well to our final GCSE course work grade.’
Many thanks to the Art Department for organising another inspiring trip for our students.
